Sure the web is high on education and information about even the most obscure subject you can think of, but there's more to it than that. The web can also be a great place to find amusement, a way to pass the time on late Friday afternoons, and it's chalk full of things your friends didn't want you to know about.

Filmwise Invisibles
A good way to start the week if you're a film buff, or claim to be. There's a new quiz every Monday which shows stills from eight different movies, only all the skin is removed from the actors. So you're basically attempting to identify the scene via landscape, clothing etc.

Wisconsin Circuit Court Access (WCCA)
Look up your friends' criminal records. What better way to pass the time than to look up how many speeding tickets your co-worker has had in the last 7 years? Unfortunately this is just for Wisconsinites, and it is somewhat incomplete, but still provides hours of interesting reading.

Lufthansa Virtual Pilot Game
Think you know your European geography? Try to land the plane at the correct airport.

City of Madison Assessor's Office Property Information
If you live in Madison this site will tell you how much your neighbors paid for their house, what they paid in taxes for the last several years and other general information about their property. You can search by name, address or parcel number. Very handy if you're looking to buy or sell a home, or just nosy. To snoop nationally, try Zillow.

The Dialectizer
Enter the name of any text-heavy site, select your dialect (i.e. elmer fudd) and then re-read the site. Redneck is by far the best option, but jive, sweedish chef, and moron settings have their moments as well. Useful for pranks if well-timed.

Sharing is caring. If you know of a fun site, drop me an email. Thanks. =]
