Friday we took a bus tour (in the rain), which included a boat tour (in the rain) from the London Eye to Tower Bridge and back.

Saturday morning we spent almost four hours touring the Tower of London (in the rain) where we saw torture chambers, the crown jewels (supposedly), the bloody tower, a lot of armor and the white tower.

We both agreed that we would never buy a new Mini BUT the ones with British flags painted on top of them do lend themselves quite nicely to tourist photos. Note it was NOT raining at the time this photo was taken.

This is one of my favorite photos of London, taken by Jeff, of me standing in front of parliament, late on Thursday afternoon (in the rain). The shutter speed was too slow so you can see some of the movement of a big city (and how dark it is) at 4 p.m.

The coolest thing we saw (in my opinion) was the entrance in the Tate Modern. At 8 p.m. we entered a gigantic room to see a giant glowing orb under a mirrored ceiling. The rest of the museum was like turning through the pages of an modern art history book - it's a fantastic collection. Jeff wasn't quite as impressed though. I don't think you'll see any Rothko prints hanging in his house anytime soon.
